For many years, it has been our dream to use our experience and expertise, gained during our business endeavours and travels to various countries all over the world, to benefit the people of South Africa. By creating MOYO Fragrances and Skin Care, we have made this dream come true.
Upon choosing a name for our company, MOYO, which means ‘heart’, ‘good luck charm’ or ‘the centre of something’ was the obvious choice because at MOYO Fragrances & Skin Care, PEOPLE are at the HEART of the company, whether it be the Agents selling our products or the Lucky ones receiving them as heartfelt gifts, or just a luxurious indulgence to spoil oneself.
We have always loved perfume and the joy it brings. The olfactory sense plays a very large part in the pleasure associated with beautiful memories. A specific scent left on someone’s clothing, the whiff of cinnamon drifting from the kitchen, the sweet fragrance of a rose and even the smell of cherry tobacco, can instantly transport one back in time to a special moment or let one feel close to a loved one.
The reason for this is, according to Jordan Gaines Lewis, Ph.D. (Psychology Today, Jan 12, 2015) likely due to brain anatomy.
“Incoming smells are first processed by the olfactory bulb, which starts inside the nose and runs along the bottom of the brain. The olfactory bulb has direct connections to two brain areas that are strongly implicated in emotion and memory: the amygdala and hippocampus. Interestingly, visual, auditory (sound), and tactile (touch) information do not pass through these brain areas. This may be why olfaction, more than any other sense, is so successful at triggering emotions and memories.”
Upon closer examination of our logo, you may notice that it is more than just a heart. It also symbolizes an embrace – caring for and protecting those whom we love, care for and are part of our lives. There is also the impression of intertwined hands, symbolising lasting relationships.
MOYO Fragrances and Skin Care aims to empower people to provide for their loved ones, those that are close to their hearts. We want to assist motivated, self starting individuals to realise their dreams by giving them this very lucrative opportunity to buy high quality fragrance and beauty products at wholesale prices and build their own successful business.
Our agents are the heart of the company and we want to assist them to become and achieve the best they can. With our experience in marketing, sales, teaching, counselling and the beauty industry, we have the skills and expertise to offer quality products, knowledge, marketing material, training and client care to equip and motivate our agents to reach their individual goals.
All our perfumes and fragrances are designed to emphasize the best olfactive characteristics that will suit the customer’s preferences. We only use A-grade oil bases. Our fragrances are long lasting and the scent will exceed 8 hours and longer.
